Fiesta 5-Piece Place Setting manufactured by The Homer Laughlin China Company. This five-piece place setting from Fiestaware consists of a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, 7.75-ounce cup, and saucer.
This is a great starter set place setting. Purchase four-eight in Paprika or mix and match them with other colors. These are glossy paprika color and resist scratching or chipping. The Paprika color is darker than Tanergine but has some brown in it unlike Scarlet. Deep red-brown, if I had to describe the color. Close to Cinnabar, but brighter and more glossy. Paprika Fiesta was introduced in the summer of 2010. These are big sturdy plates that look good on the table and would fit the decor of most kitchens In many cases they can be dropped on the floor and not break.
The 100 percent lead-free glaze is nonporous, so it won’t absorb food smells or grease. One of the best features of this dinnerware is that the plates stay warm. At first I didn’t think I would like that and complained because when I would put the plate in the microwave, it would be very warm. Then someone explained to me that this is an awesome feature and I just didn’t realize it. I can warm the plates in the microwave or oven, and they stay warm, thus keeping my food warmer longer. Win-win. It looks great and keeps my food warm longer. Fully vitrified china with a lead and cadmium free glaze so you don’t have to worry about lead like so many dishes made in China.
The price for this 5 piece setting usually runs between $100 and $49.00 but shop around. Purchase from a reputable store or Ebay to avoid fakes.
