Fiesta 9-Inch Luncheon Plate in Shamrock

Fiesta 9-Inch Luncheon Plate, ShamrockFiesta 9-Inch Luncheon Plate manufactured by Homer Laughlin China Company. Shamrock colored Fiesta was introduced in 2002 and is still going strong.

The plate goes from the freezer to the refrigerator to the microwave or oven and is dishwasher safe, making it the perfect plate. Smaller than the dinner plate and larger than the bread plate, it is also the perfect size for a sandwich, salad, desert, or small meal. Perfect for a piece of pizza.

These plates have all the same pro’s as other Fiestaware plates like being made in West Virginia, chip resistant, and lead-free. The con is that in Shamrock, like the other dark colors does show utensil marks more than the light colors. When they do get marks on them, it doesn’t affect the glaze and you can use a copper cleaner or Bonide type cleaner to take the marks off. This plate has the concentric rings the other pieces also have.

Shamrock Fiestaware is often seen in Mexican restaurants, along with Cobalt and Scarlet so you can image how tough it needs to be to be used in a restaurant. Restaurant dishwashers can be very harsh but Fiesta in Shamrock continues to make since as a tough dinnerware.

Price runs around $15.00 The Fiestaware Shamrock square luncheon plate is almost the same size and less than a dollar difference in price so if you prefer square plates but love Fiesta and the Shamrock color, check out the square luncheon plates also.
