We are all trying to eat more healthy and we can justify the purchase of this bowl by saying that is will help us eat healthier. We can tell ourselves we will use this bowl to hold fruit and keep in on our counter top so we will see the fruit and be more likely to eat it. This is a very inexpensive bowl so we really don’t need more of an excuse to buy it than that we like it.

All Fiesta pieces are Microwave safe, Oven-proof, Dishwasher safe, Freezer proof, Lead-Free, and made in West Virginia. Through the years there have been several different sizes of Fiesta fruit bowls. The first Fiesta fruit bowls held ten ounces, so were very large. In 1938 there were 4 3/4 inch fruit bowls. These were discontinued i 1960, so they lasted 25 years. There has also been a 5 1/2 inch fruit bowl. Some lists show it has being 5 inches. Those were available from 1938 to 1959. Vintage Fiesta bowls also include a 11 3/4 inch Fruit bowl available from 1935 to 1968.

Obviously this 6.25 oz Fiesta fruit bowl can be used for fruit, (more lie cut up fruit) but can also be used for many other things. Some people like it for cat food or cat water bowls because of the depth. These work for salads, side dishes, ice cream, snacks, nuts, or working with ingredients while cooking. The plum color is vibrant, which means they’ll brighten up your cupboard and add pops of color to your table…or your cats’ dining experience. Plum Fiesta was introduced in 2002 and has been popular since showing up. it is darker than the Fiesta Heather or Fiesta Lilac.

Current price is about $6.50 to $8.50.  Check Ebay for the best deals.  You can buy a couple at that price and use one for chips or potato salad or other side dish.
