Fiesta 24-Ounce Gusto Bowl is manufactured by The Homer Laughlin China. Sunflower was introduced in 2001 and has been going strong every since. Sunflower is a bright but soft yellow.
Being oversized and so deep it helps prevent spill over. The bowls are 6 x 6 x 3 inches deep and holds 23 oz. Perfect for soups, stews, and chili. You can put a 16 oz can of fruit or vegetables in the bowl. If you are a big cereal eater, you can put a couple of cups of cereal, milk, and a banana and still not spill over the sides. It works nicely as a serving bowl, popcorn bowl, pasta bowl, salad bowl, or ice cream bowl. Con’s are that they don’t stack well, they don’t nest, and they are heavy. Heavy can also be a “pro”.
Lead and cadmium free and made in West Virginia. Like other Fiesta pieces these are chip resistant, dishwasher and microwave safe. You can put soup in it, cook it in the microwave, then put the left over in the refrigerator. Price in most department stores is around $35.00 but prices vary greatly.
