Theme Wars isn’t your ordinary WP theme store – it brings together the community – both blog designers and bloggers who need a design. Here is how it works:

1. Each week, any blog designer can submit an entry (his/her original design) into our “Weekly War.”
2. The Weekly War will be a contest to design a particular type of theme (e.g. magazine, business, etc.) as voted on by the community (via poll) the week before.
3. The top two designs which the community votes for will be sold in our Theme Store. The winning designers will receive 25% and 10%, respectively, each time their winning design sells.

Winning designers are also permanently invited to produce new themes for Theme Wars and share in the profits.

What Is the Benefit to Users?

Blog Designers

The benefit for designers is an opportunity to earn money by submitting their designs in our Weekly War. Not only will the winning designers receive a percentage of each sale, they will also earn a spot on our “Featured Designers” page, thereby giving them additional marketing and exposure for their brand.

The only qualification to submitting a design is that the design must be original work of the designer. Anyone, from anywhere in the world, can compete, each week. For information on signing up as a designer, click here.

Bloggers

The benefit to the community is access to a wide range of themes from a wide range of different designers. Theme Wars will be truly listening to the feedback of the community via community polls and voting.

People get to vote for the types of designs they would like to see and also the specific designs that we will build and sell.

The Themes

All themes will be licensed under the WordPress GPL, which means that even with the basic theme license, people will be able to use the themes on as many sites as they like.

The Pricing

Themes will be priced at $69 for a multi-use license and $149 for a developer license (includes Photoshop documents). We will also offer a monthly membership to get access to all of our themes. The pricing for Theme Wars includes:

• Individual Theme Multi-Use License $69 – includes one (1) year of updates and support

  Get the multi-use license to use the theme on an unlimited number of websites and blogs, as supported by the GPL. This also gives you one (1) year of access to the support forum, documentation, and video tutorials and theme updates.

• Individual Theme Developer Use License $149 – includes one (1) year of updates and support

  Get the developer use license to use the theme on an unlimited number of websites and sites for your clients. You also get access to the accompanying Photoshop files (.PSD’s) for each theme as well as one (1) year of access to the support forum, documentation, and video tutorials and theme updates.

• All Access – Standard $20/month + One-time payment of $147

  Get access to all of our themes for one low monthly price, plus a small signup fee. This also gives you access to all of our past, present and future themes, as well as unlimited access to the support forum, documentation, video tutorials and theme updates.

• All Access – Developer $27/month + One-time payment of $177

  Get access to all of our themes for one low monthly price, plus a small signup fee. This also gives you access to all of our past, present and future themes, as well as unlimited access to the support forum, documentation, video tutorials, theme updates and Photoshop files (.PSD’s).
