A question from a new collector:

I am a long time admirer of Fiestaware dishes and we have decided to to start collecting them. We use them daily so they are washed by hand everyday. We love all the different colors, but some seem to chip easier and some show the chips more than others. After I wash them by hand, I put them on a plate rack. How can I keep the face of the plate from scraping on the rack?

Answer: I honestly don't have a great answer. We wash ours daily and put them in a metal rank very carefully. I would think that a wooded rack would help, but I haven't tried it. I have also seen racks with a coating like you see inside a dishwaher. This might be a good alternative. Also I recommend a cleaner on my main site on the "Cleaning FIESTA®" page that will take the scratches off.
