Fiesta Raspberry Commemorative Bowl

I recieved this email and may need some help with this one from some of you.

Kay and Gladys: I am in possession of one of the rare commemorative raspberry bowls, just 500 were made. I am interested in finding out what you might think the bowl is worth, and I have thought about selling the bowl as well. Thank you for your time, I look forward to your response.

In 1997, 500 presentation bowls in an exclusive Raspberry (reddish maroon) colored glaze were made to commemorate approximately the production of the 500 millionth piece of fiestaware produced by since 1936. Each piece was individually numbered and Homer Laughlin China Company will never use that rasberry glaze again. I did a search through some sites such as http://get4it.com and a couple of other places and didn't find one of these bowls that had sold lately.

According to "Fiesta, Harlequin,Kitchen Kraft Dinnerwares" The Homer Laughlin China Collectors Association Guide, in June of 1998 five raspberry bowls sold for $23,900.

It is listed in some books, but the pricing for fiestaware has dropped so much the last 6 months, I would hate to guess. I call on other collectors to give us their opinions. I will keep checking around, and try to get you an educated guess.
