I have gotten several letters lately from people with FIESTA® plates or pitchers or trivets with dancers on them. The main plates I am being asked about are actually trivets. They are available in several colors. The Heather trivet is an anniversary piece and can be had for less than $15.00. Some of the trivets are in colors that have been discontinued, such as the rose (shown). There are also yellow plates with a Red logo and dancer on it. Sorry I couldn’t find a picture of one. These are also genuine Fiesta which were made as marketing advertising pieces. The dancing woman seen on all of these can be seen on the old FIESTA® boxes.
There seems to be a little mystery around where some of the dancing lady pieces came from. The water pitcher may have been a promotional piece or made for a charity event. There was a Dancing lady disk pitcher beverage set in chartreuse and yellow made for J.C. Penny. There was a pearl grey disk pitcher made for Bloomingdale’s for a millennium celebration in 2000. It consisted of the pitcher with the dancing lady in black and has 2000 on it, and 4 cups. One cup had a 2 on it and 3 cups had zero’s on them.
The most common piece seen with the lady dancer today is the Christmas ornaments. Read more about the Christmas ornaments with the dancing lady.
